Unicode vs. online editor

When using the online editor to make a quick fix - and the file contains a non-ASCII value, e.g. Danish letters: æøå - the file will be stored in iso-8859-1 as opposed to UTF-8, which can botch the buildability of a project.

There are several ways to remedy this:

1. don't use the online editor
2. git chekout - convert file to UTF-8 - commit and push
3. only use ASCII values

But none of these seem attractive when the online editor exists.
