Opening multiple repositories open in a browser makes some actions affect the wrong repo

If I open repo1 in a browser, then later open repo2, switch back to repo1 and use the sidebar buttons to create a branch, the branch will default to repo2. This is easy to do without noticing the branch name change. This doesn't seem to affect the other repo Actions or Navigation options available from the sidebar.
I would expect the create branch button to create a branch from the currently viewed repository (repo1), not some other repository I have open in another tab.
