URL validation doesn't account for 401 response

I just tried creating a new repository for an upcoming site that's under HTTP Basic authentication while under development and the validation routine came back saying "This URL appears to be a broken link." I just checked with cURL and the server is responding with: HTTP/1.1 401 Authorization Required as expected.

Not a biggy as I just removed the URL, but it feels a bit wrong.
