git clone https://email@example.com
Cloning into 'xxxx'...
fatal: unable to access 'https://firstname.lastname@example.org//': OpenSSL SSL_connect: SSL_ERROR_SYSCALL in connection to bitbucket.org: 443
I have the same problem with the push command.
Agree. Same problem
This solution worked for me. Added the ip address and the host in /etc/hosts and then ran the git push -4 origin master command.
I am having this same issue with pulling/cloning certain repos
@Andrei Palade That fixed it! Thanks!
I added "188.8.131.52 bitbucket.org" into my known_hosts file to force IPV4 and this has fixed my issue, at least for now.
Current Bitbucket is having an issue with IPv6 connectivity, therefore this SSL issue. Use "--ipv4" option. For example: "git push --ipv4" or git clone --ipv4 <path>
same or similar problem:
unable to access 'https://email@example.com/xxxli/xxxxli.xxxfilexxxxtool/': OpenSSL SSL_connect: SSL_ERROR_SYSCALL in connection to bitbucket.org:443
