Case of appearing and disappearing files

I created a new repository. That went fine. I then made a subdirectory, put some files into it, did an add, commit and push. No apparent issues. However, when I go to the BB web site, the folder is there but there are no files in the folder. If I then return to the main repository on the web, the folder does not show. A refresh of the main directory makes it show again. What is clear is that BB knows about the files in the folder since if I do a pull on another machine, its gets them just fine. Why they do not show is totally bizarre. I have never seen this happen before.
