Repository size doesn't seem to update properly

We have a repo that is about 1.1G.

( We will clean its history in the near future, but not right now as we are in the middle of a major release).

It has happened several times that it goes above 2G and we get stuck.

Yet we monitor the size on the settings page and it doesn't show an increase until too late. For example, I monitored the page this week everyday and the repo size was said to be 1.1G. Yet today it just bumped to 2.1G.

We have only committed code changes, not assets. So I believe there's an issue in the reporting of the repository size. It doesn't update itself properly.

There's an issue with the pruning as well, which I reported as BCLOUD-16991
