I may experience the same issue. In my case it is a branch which is "stuck" in the past.

When I attempt to access the branch through the "Source" menu and choose the branch name on the dropdown, I am directed to a URL on this form: https://bitbucket.org/USER/REPO/src/BRANCH/ which displays one of the first commits ever made on that branch. One interesting observation though: The "Last Commit" and "Message" columns actually show the correct information taken from the head of the branch for each file.

When I attempt to access the branch through the "Branch" menu, selects the branch on the list and selects "View Source", I am directed to a URL on this form: https://bitbucket.org/USER/REPO/src/COMMITHASH/?at=BRANCH. This will take me to the correct place (the head of the branch).
