Custom Links are broken - hijacked by bitbucket commits

Issue
I am trying to create a link to my issue tracker based on the commit message.
Custom Repository links do not seem to work as numbers are automatically hijacked by bitbucket, pointing to non-existent commits.

Reproduction steps

• Navigate to repository settings > links
• Click add link and then choose a custom link with the following properties:
  Link key: SC-\d+
  Link url: https://my.isssue.tracker.com/\1
