OpenID vrs Password

I originally signed in with an OpenID so I did not create a password (or at least do not remember creating one).

When I went to delete a repo I was asked to provide a password. Not remembering making one I reset the password. Now when I try to log in with this username and password it does not work.

Any ideas?
