I can't log in.

I signed up a few days ago and found the site down when I tried it occasionally since then (checked with downforeveryoneorjustme.com). Now when I try to access the site I get told my username does not exist in the database. My friend who also has an account can see my user page and when I try to sign up I get told that username already exists. The forgot my password page also claims not to know about me.
