Sometimes a user might commit under several user IDs - maybe "John Doe [jdoe%40company.example.com]" as well as "John Doe [me%40johndoe.example.com]" additionally or alternatively to the email address which he uses to login. In this case, he has to edit every single repo he owns in order to get this right.

But it might be useful to set these settings once for the complete user account. Might that feature be added?
