website doesn't display in IE8

Issue #2390 resolved

For some reason, your website comes up dead in IE 8. However it comes up fine in Firefox. Considering most users on the internet use IE, you may want to fix that.

I have tried accessing the site in IE 8 and am not seeing any problems at the moment.

If you have a specific problem can you please reopen this issue with some screenshots?

I am having (what I think are) similar issues.

I am viewing the site in IE8 (version 8.0.7600.16385) and it is displaying incorrectly. The menu bar at the top has no styling applied and is shown as a flat list. This means that it takes up half of the page. There is very minimal styling on the rest of the page too. I think only the font styles are showing. IE8 is saying that the page has generated errors. These are as follows:

    Webpage error details

    User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Tablet PC 2.0; MS-RTC LM 8; .NET4.0C; .NET4.0E; .NET CLR 1.1.4322) Timestamp: Mon, 4 Feb 2013 10:38:11 UTC

Message: 'window.Raphael.svg' is null or not an object Line: 313 Char: 1 Code: 0 URI:

Message: Invalid argument. Line: 3428 Char: 5 Code: 0 URI:

Message: Object doesn't support this property or method Line: 3440 Char: 9 Code: 0 URI:

These errors are the same on every page I've viewed. I've got a screenshot to show how it is displaying for me here (dropbox).

I've tried compatability view but it has no effect. Other sites are displaying normally.
