unable to delete messages in inbox (BB-1364)

I have 4 messages in my inbox.
If I mark them and choose "delete", it tells me that it deleted 4 messages, but the messges are still there.
Similarly if I try delete only one message.

Also it always shows "Inbox(1)" but there are no unread messages in my inbox.
