Issue #3768 resolved

Wrong username (?) referenced in issues

Anonymous created an issue

A couple hours ago I received several notifications from a project that I have never heard before. When I checked the issue pages, they say either I created the issues and/or actioned/commented in some of them, although I have never done that.

I noticed, though, that one of the people involved is also named Ronny. His username is "RonnyPfannschmidt" while my Bitbucket username is 'ronny'.

I'm still trying to figure out what went wrong here.

All affected issues were updated recently (8 hours ago) but were created/commented on well in the past.

One way this could happen is if we performed some kind of issue import (e.g., trac) that simply used the usernames from another system and matched them to the same usernames on Bitbucket.

    An update:

I'm yet to hear back from the repository owner.

If I still haven't head back by next week, I'll remove you (and the other affected user) from these issues.
