Can't clone a repo using HTTPS protocol and --depth=1 flag (BB-3799)

When I try to clone a repo using the https protocol and the depth flag, it just times out:

git clone --progress --depth=1 --branch=master https://username:password@bitbucket.org/bigfuel/example.git
