(Git) Submodules in a directory are not shown in the sourcebrowser. (BB-3270)

Issue #3982 duplicate

created an issue

I have a repository layout that combines several of my projects (all in bitbucket) as subprojects, like this:
{{{
a -> git@bitbucket.org:me/a.git
lib/b -> git@bitbucket.org:me/b.git
lib/c -> git@bitbucket.org:me/c.git
z -> git@bitbucket.org:me/z.git
}}}

In the sourcebrowser this shows up as:
{{{
/:
a [############] (links to project and commit)
lib (empty dir)
z [############] (links to project and commit)

/lib:
(empty)
}}}

I would expect the following:
{{{
/:
a [############] (links to project and commit)
lib (dir containing b and c)
z [############] (links to project and commit)

/lib:
b [############] (links to project and commit)
c [############] (links to project and commit)
}}}
