Renaming Repo w/Special Characters Does Not Work Properly (BB-3279)

In the admin panel of a repo, I went to change the name of a repo from "App Name Android" to "App Name (Android)" to better stylize and differentiate the repos since I have multiple platforms for the same repo.

Unfortunately, it throws an error that reads "You already have a repository with this name." I am assuming that it is stripping the special characters and then doing a comparison and returning some sort of "duplicate" error.
