List/Sort By setting is not sorting correctly when app is opened

Main screen with multiple documents – “Date” is selected for the list/sort by, but the documents are not listed by date. Pressing Name, they all alphabetize. Then press Date and they correctly line up by date. It’s just leaving the program and coming back in that it doesn’t organize them correctly.
