Replies on comments via email don't show up in news feeds, including dashboard (BB-6208)

Comments made using the web portal always show in the dashboard and other news feeds. Comments made by replying on a notification email are added to the correct issue but they don't show up in the news feeds.

Is this intentional? I would prefer to also see these replies in the feeds.
