Activity from deleted repo shown in newsfeed

Issue #5108 wontfix
Chris Colborne
created an issue

I've deleted a repo and would expect that the activity associated with that repo would be removed from the newsfeed.

However, I'm seeing all the old commits listed in my newsfeed.

Is it possible to clear this when deleting a repo, or if it's desired to preserve this in some cases, to add a way to clear the newsfeed?

There seem to be a few issues similar to mine eg issue #2527 , issue #2301

Many thanks,

Me too have this problem. Also, in news about deleted repositories the user name is't associated with alias.

    News editor/manager is needed.

I'd also like the ability to selectively clear my news feed. When deleting a repository, would be nice to have a checkbox to delete related feed items. Additionally, would be nice to be able to have an interface to manage feeds (clear, turn on/off, levels, etc).

    Hi everyone,

Apologies for the delayed reply, this issue fell off our radar. Unfortunately, with the way our newsfeed is designed we do not delete or edit events that have already occurred.

Bear in mind, that even if we did an RSS feed reader could still store this information so deleting it from our feed would be fruitless.

    Cheers, Brian
