Issue #5124 wontfix

Please allow the resource to be writeable / deleteable

Anonymous created an issue

It's currently not possible to create any resource through the API which is currently a big drawback (in comparison to for example github) and makes for my needs the API not useable:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/BITBUCKET/src+Resources

A support for it would be much appreciated.

yes that's the point. Currently it's possible to prepare all everything (at least, it seems so) for the commit but just the push itself is not possible.

I still don't think I understand. You cannot edit files through our API. You can only edit your code outside of Bitbucket and commit, then push it back up.

Can you explain in detail what the 'everything' you are referring to is?

Well it's exactly the problem that we cannot edit files through the API.

I just would like to be able to commit (write) file through the API to integrate that with another system.

I'm sorry, we won't be adding this as this is the purpose of Git and/or Mercurial. They are quite scriptable from the command line and include libraries for nearly every language.
