when changing e-mails, identification resets

First, thanks for great service, wish you to flourish and here is my tiny bit.

I've changed my e-mail in BitBucket profile half-way though repository history. Now old changesets are identified with someone else, though with same name, disjoint from my BitBucket account and avatar as well. Is is intended behaviour?..
