We should upgrade the version of docutils we're using (0.7), some newer directives (like code-block) are missing at the moment.
If you would like to use code-block for now, we currently support the pygments sourcecode directive that you can use as an alternative.
When will this docutils upgrade happen? Now, docutils 0.10 is the current version, and the continuing lack of the code-block directive is kind of a show-stopper.
An update would be most welcome, indeed.
I'd also vote for the update!
Another upvote here.
An update would be nice.
What newer features, other than code-block, are you guys looking for? Just curious.
For me, it's just code-block at the moment.
We've updated to docutils 0.10. Let us know if you see any new issues around this.
As an aside, I am not seeing any syntax highlighting when using code-block. For example: https://bitbucket.org/thesociable/mill/overview
Thanks for letting us know. I've raised a separate issue for this (#7485).
