Issue #6009 invalid

Confirmation when setting close-'master'-branch in pull request

Steven Looman
created an issue

Confirmation when setting close-'master'-branch in pull request. It is very easy to accidentally remove the master branch from a repo when working with pull requests.

Steps reproduce:

  • Create a repo with two branches
  • Create a pull request, merge from master to another branch
  • Enable the option: "Close master after the pull request is merged"
  • Create pull request
  • Accept/merge pull request

Steven, is the master branch set as your main branch in the repository admin?

We prevent the main branch of a repository from being closed in pull requests. So if master is the main branch, that is definitely a bug.

    Hi Steven,

I was wondering if you could confirm that master is indeed set to the main branch in the repository admin? We are not able to reproduce this issue on our side.

    Thanks,
    Jon
