Issue #6368 resolved

Choice between SSH and HTTPS when creating repo

Kory Mathis
created an issue

When creating a new repo, the instructions tell you to add the HTTPS url to gitconfig. What I'd really like is to be able to choose SSH and not have to manually change the url each time I create a repo.

    Hi Kory,

When you create a new repository, you should see instructions that ask you to use the git add command. We try not to provide instructions that involve updating the gitconfig file. If we do could you tell us where this occurs?

Also if you have an ssh key configured you should receive an instruction including the ssh key.

I have attached a screenshot with an example.

    Cheers, Brian
