Big issue when signing up

Hi,
I tried to sign up with my gmail emailaddress. I made a mistake in the password (not twice the same).
And now, I always see the message "A user with that username already exists.".
When trying to reset my password, I see "That e-mail address doesn't have a uniquely associated user account. Are you sure you've registered?".

So, it seems I'm stuck.
