Issue #6615 resolved

Joel Bader
created an issue

Hi, I have a code available for download at https://bitbucket.org/baderlab/fast/downloads/FAST.tar.gz Now whenever I click the download link, I get the error:

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below. <Error><Code>AccessDenied</Code><Message>Access Denied</Message><RequestId>4E0DD51D9D0C018C</RequestId><HostId>4xmRZG3Q1c7rJsSyc0TojiL6kuGZTxheQnDhsKCP5m2J3Nmu+iEVl9M34qC7VSLc</HostId></Error>

The error persists even after deleting and re-uploading the FAST.tar.gz. However it is downloadable by the command

wget https://bitbucket.org/baderlab/fast/downloads/FAST.tar.gz

This is a real bad bug in bitbucket and if this persists, I may never trust bitbucket again. The file FAST.tar.gz is part of a paper recently submitted and if other people cannot download it by clicking the link, bitbucket is pretty useless.

Is it possible that you recently changed your repo from public to private, or vice versa? If so, then it might take a little while before your download artifacts have been updated to reflect that status.

Downloads are not hosted on our servers. Instead, we use a worldwide CDN to ensure fast downloads everywhere. This comes with the consequence that repo public/private switches need to propagate.

FWIW, I'm unable to reproduce the error at this time. I've hit your URL around 10 times without any problems.

Hi, Yes it seems to work ok now. But it very strange nonetheless. No, I have'nt changed the permissions for the repository for quite a while. The things I noticed were: 1) Only the file FAST.tar.gz was creating the problem, other files were unaffected 2) If I rename FAST.tar.gz to say F.tar.gz and upload it, it works fine. 3) FAST.tar.gz is the only file which I am changing quite a bit over the last few days. Thanks, Pritam
