Issue #6657 resolved

Strangely worded email when creating a repo in an organization (BB-7826)

Very minor issue, but here we go.

I am part of a Team under an organization.

I created a new private repo for the organization and pushed some code into it. I received an email saying:

"You have hereby been granted read access to oliverwymantechssg/oaf.deploymentinfo."

That's silly, I have both read and write permission. Heck I just created the darn repo and pushed code to it.

I believe this problem is related to a couple of issues:

Firstly, the email sending was blocked for some time and may have been sent when you created the repository but you didn't receive it until after you pushed.

I'm not 100% sure of the exact situation, but we could have sent the read permission to the you even though you performed the action. This should be fixed now and you should no longer receive emails about your own actions.

Alternatively, do you have another user that shares the same email account (via an email alias)? It is possible that you received the email for that user.

Either way, I believe that with the recent notifications upgrades we have made in the last weeks, this problem should now be resolved.

Please let me know if you continue to have issues with this.
