Issue #7344 invalid

"read_only" field for API https://api.bitbucket.org/1.0/user/repositories/

luantian
created an issue

"read_only" is always false, no matter weather if user's privilege is read/write/admin.

And It should be a more informational as privilege then just just "read_only" to tell difference between write and admin. Now Bitbucket has no API for user to know what kind privilege he/she have. This is a critical bug.

    Hi luantian,

The read_only field for repositories is not meant to indicate access privileges. In the rare case where we need to move your repository on our disks, we will put the repository in read only mode. This will ensure the repository is in the same state before and after the move. Again, this is very rare that a repository will be in read only mode.

For permissions, you are correct that we do not have an appropriate API resource to handle access privileges. However, issue #7329 is logged and we will investigate from there.

    Cheers,
    Michael
