Not receiving email notifications from Issues

Hi, no matter what I try to do, I am not receiving email notifications about changes in issues that I have created. I have notifications turned on my profile and I am also added to the list under issues setting on the repository. What's more interesting, my brother (peteradamek) is receiving those notifications even though he doesn't want and they are completely unrelated to him. Can you please have a look what's wrong?

    Hi Martin,

    Due to overwhelming feedback from our users, we no longer send a user notifications about changes he or she made (I'm guessing this is why you're not getting notifications). Other users who are subscribed to all of the issues for that repository, or are watching the individual issue, will receive notifications (I'm guessing this is why your brother is receiving notifications. There should be a link at the bottom of every email to stop receiving them). You should still receive notifications if someone else makes a change to an issue you created.

    Hi Zach,

    thanks for the response. The problem is, I am not receiving updates to issues that I created, but somebody else on the team is commenting/changing. I can see them only in Bitbucket Inbox.

    Please ignore my brother emails, he just told me he is not receiving them anymore (but I am pretty sure he was not watching those issues and he wasn't subscribed to the repo).

    All 4 options under "Email me about" section are checked. Also, I am watching the repository and this is my "Subscribe to notifications about" section for that repository: [X] All pull requests [X] All issues [ ] All commits [X] All forks

    I am receiving NONE of those messages. I have checked my SPAM folder in GMail. I am desperate now as this is real showstopper for me.

    I went through our mail log and the email is being successfully sent to your gmail address.

    According to us the emails should have been sent.

    Is it possible that your gmail account has gone over the storage limit?

    Oh, I have just found some old filter used on some past projects, that was marking bitbucket issues email as read and passing them to some buried folder. I am so sorry about the confusion! Thanks a lot for the help!

    Aw man! How hard would it be to make "send me my own commit messages, too" a preference?!

    Here's the use-case problem:

    • I check in "fixed a bunch of stuff: A, B, C"
    • Bill checks in "Reverted Chum's earlier change"

    Now I've got an email telling me not a damned thing! If I'd-a gotten both emails, the conversation would make sense.

    Ok, I get that some people can remember what they checked-in 18 months ago, or maybe they have difficulty using email filters, so they need to turn-off their own commit messages -- no problem.

    But it seems poor-practice for The System to just arbitrarily decide to filter data that some users consider important!

    Please reopen and fix.

    The same opinion as my colleagues. I think, I would be a great thing to have some possibility to receive my own commit as notification. Maybe another look at this issue. You have wrote, that you doesn't send notification e-mail on users, which made a commit. OK, but...WHY ISN'T THIS INFORMATION IN DOCUMENTATION OR, MUCH MORE BETTER, WHY ISN'T IT VISIBLE IN USER INTERFACE?
