I see. In order to git clone over ssh, I had to change ":" to "/" and only then it worked. However on screenshot it shows "SSH" in front of url, so I supposed that it is an exact url I have to use in order to clone the repo over ssh. Am I missing something?

    Hi Anton,

Strangely, I am unable to reproduce this locally. Cloning works when I use a ':' and not when I use a '/'.

I suspect that this is something to do with your version of git. You will need git 1.7 or later. You can check this by running

    git --version

Yep, you can use either of those url schemes and they should work equally well.

You will noticed that our website will provide you with the first one so it may just be easier to copy and paste. Other than that it should make no difference.

    Cheers, Brian

Thanks! Btw I remember now why I added ssh:// to it - I was not able to use git url (the one provided by BitBucket GUI) with your downloadable git tool. But once I used ssh:// it worked like a charm. May it be a bug?

I remember it was something like that. I do not have time right now to reproduce the issue as I'm working hard in real-time with my client now. If you can - please can you do a small test.

I was adding a remote to exiting local git repo and then it did not authorize normally.

    Thanks, Anton

    Hi Anton,

Testing this locally, SourceTree works fine using the provided url scheme. I'm going to assume that the issue is fixed for now, but if you do see it again just let us know.

    Cheers, Brian
