git push with ssh causes remote end to hang up

Issue #7761 resolved

I encounter the same problem as Issue #6406.

git push is stalling out on large files:

$ git push Counting objects: 3755, done. Delta compression using up to 8 threads. Compressing objects: 100% (3708/3708), done. Writing objects: 9% (334/3708) <- this never ends

environment is windows/Git-1.8.3-preview20130601.exe.

Searching the internet - it looks more that a missconfigured sshd is on your side. Please check!

I tried the latest msygit and the git config - no luck:

Counting objects: 4086, done. Delta compression using up to 8 threads. Compressing objects: 100% (3947/3947), done. Read from remote host bitbucket.org: The connection was aborted fWatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly fatal: sha1 file '<stdout>' write error: Invalid argument error: failed to push some refs to 'git@bitbucket.org:xxxn.git'

I just started having the same problem on Windows 8 since yesterday. The postBuffer setting makes no difference, and neither does updating to the latest stable Git for Windows 2.8.1 (git version 2.8.1.windows.1).

Why has this been marked resolved? @Jesper Avôt how did you establish that it's a bug in msysgit and not a bitbucket server issue?
