[Bitbucket] Google account login blocked

Issue #8159 invalid
Anonymous created an issue

I've used google account for using Bitbucket. Today, when I tried to login, the following message is shown. =========================================================== Something went wrong.

You can contact support or create a public issue if the problem persists. This might be useful in debugging the problem: a516acebc33d467181cd6d4cdb0cfe55 You can also visit our status page. ===========================================================

Before the above message appeared, I failed to login about three times. because I tried to login with username and password, not using oauth.

What should I going to do?

It looks like the cause of this error was a timeout on Google's side, specifically when requesting an access token. I just tested this and it seems to be working now. Could you please try again and report back?

I'm experiencing the same issue with the google login, it doesn't work and I have to try a lot of times before I'm finally logged in.

Received two different errors, see below.

Received error while obtaining access token from https://accounts.google.com/o/oauth2/token: invalid_grant

Edit: just to add, I can login to Jira (ondemand) with Google at the same time without any problems.

    Hi All,

Unfortunately, all of the errors provided to us are caused by a timeout waiting for a response from Google. This means that this is little we can do to fix the problem on our end.

    Cheers, Brian

This happening to me regularly, and there is nothing from google about it, Since BB has chosen to phase out Github and other party logins, surely the blame game for the alternative login methods provided from BB shouldn't be the problem of the users?

Simply saying its its Googles fault doesn't help the users like us having issues. BB is offering to log in with Google, so its BBs job to fix it!
