Unable to filter to existing search of issues by status

I came to file a tiny bug, but was unable to search for Open bugs matching the term "import" without hand editing the URL. It's possible this is by design, but as this is basic functionality that seems unlikely. So I'll file this one first.

To reproduce:

Option A)
https://bitbucket.org/site/master/issues\\
Enter the term "import" in the Find Issues box.
Click on Filters: Open.

Option B)
https://bitbucket.org/site/master/issues\\
Click on Filters: Open
Enter the term "import" in Find Issues box.

What I expect: To receive Open issues matching the term "import"

What happens: I only get Open issues, or issues matching "import", but am unable to combine the two searches.

Workaround: Click on Filters: Open, then add "&q=import" to the URL.
