Website access to view an older commit or any source code is too slow to be usable

I can load the main page of my recent activity, and see repositories, etc just fine.

But when I click to view source, or view an older commit and its source, the site does not respond. This has been the case since I started using the service about a month ago. Other basic activities on the site work fine, but viewing older commits just take forever or don't every load at all.
