Issue #8705 resolved

rename a repo of a team with five users plan

Sylvain Guéniot
created an issue

User A is in team TEAM. A import a private repo "test" with the owner TEAM. Later A wants to rename the repo "test". After a click on Save repository details buttons, we have two errors shown : "Public repositories must allow public forks." -> "This is a private repository" is checked "Making this repository private requires more users than TEAM has on their plan."

The issue i that I can't rename a private repository I created for a team where I am not the administrator (I can only give a name at creation step, but not later on).

    Hi Sylvain,

When you save any part of your repository settings, we check to make sure you aren't over your plan limit for that repository. Your error was caused by a bug where we didn't calculate the current number of users on a plan correctly in some cases when the repository was owned by a team. We just released a fix for this, so you should be able to rename the repository now. Apologies for any inconvenience!
