Issue #8984 resolved

Can't upload large files

Diego Sueiro
created an issue

I've tried to updload to download section a file with 1GB size e received this error: <Error> <script/> <Code>RequestTimeout</Code> <Message> Your socket connection to the server was not read from or written to within the timeout period. Idle connections will be closed. </Message> <RequestId>E24B51849BCF1A89</RequestId> <HostId> 07Oo/tUb0XSQOXVaa6Aqp3XdLvflFcpdOGvbnfi+uGecvkPhjvf2Jl4YZx384gUt </HostId> </Error>

Already tried several times in different days, and next to the updload end this error is raised.

    Hello Diego Sueiro,

    I'm not able to reproduce this problem. I was able to successfully upload a large file to a repository that I own.

    I would say that 1GB is quite large for what the downloads section of repositories is intended for (small binaries relating to the repository) and you may be better served hosting it on a service such as Dropbox or in your own Amazon S3 bucket.

    Thanks,
    Jon

    I also encountered this problem, probably because slow internet connection when uploading 4 MB file.

    after I upload the browser redirect to https://bbuseruploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ , and then throw this error message:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <Error><Code>RequestTimeout</Code><Message>Your socket connection to the server was not read from or written to within the timeout period. Idle connections will be closed.</Message><RequestId>0FBB6898733D159A</RequestId><HostId>ctj57mpBpt805Yabf6oZJhyynRB04I4qd8SSXip2TM/Vhz+LFMuOy9Tj6ykmMMJz</HostId></Error>
