    You seem to be connecting to the wrong TCP port.

    Can you paste the full output of the terminal session (assuming you are using a shell)? If you don't want to share the actual repo's URL you can contact us by emailing support@bitbucket.org.

    Also, do you have a proxy server configured on your machine?

    Hi, Ok so the full output is : " git init Initialized empty Git repository in /Users/joseph/Desktop/HelloWordDigital/.git/

    git remote add origin https://ahatchiguian@bitbucket.org/ahatchiguian/dev- echo "# This is my README" >> README.md git add README.md

    it commit -m "First commit. Adding a README." [master (root-commit) 38b446d] First commit. Adding a README. 1 file changed, 1 insertion(+) create mode 100644 README.md git push -u origin master fatal: unable to access 'https://ahatchiguian@bitbucket.org/ahatchiguian/dev-iphone.git/': Failed connect to bitbucket.org:1080; Operation timed out"

    I dont use a proxy

    That output seems to be interleaved with output from some other process (your repo name gets truncate in the middle of "/dev-" by that "echo " line) and I'm a bit confused what I'm looking at. I also don't see your shell prompts.

    Can you simply copy/paste the contents of your terminal window?

    It still seems like your machine insists on connecting to the wrong port (https is on 443, not 1080).

    Can you run the following command in your shell and copy/paste the entire output verbatim?

    $ GIT_CURL_VERBOSE=1 git ls-remote https://bitbucket.org/evzijst/interruptingcow.git

    Your proxy server seems to be hit-nxdomain.opendns.com and I cannot connect to port 1080. So maybe that server is internal to your network (what network are you on? Are you at an office?), or it's simply not listening on 1080.
