Open diff view by default when viewing commits from file history page (BB-10700)

When viewing commit history on a file, second column of data is the commit hash with a link.

When opening the page with the commit, the file which history I was viewing is displayed in state it had when that commit was made. Is there a way to open that page so that diff view is opened by default instead of the source view? If not, can there be an option for it?
