Issue #9723 resolved

Can't access or delete a branch named with https.

Benny Lin
created an issue

I accidentally created a branch using a URL as the name. After the branch is created, I can't access or delete it.

Here's the test page with error branch https//abc.com: https://bitbucket.org/keyo321/testbranchnameerror/branches?status=merged

Here's the direct link to the branch: https://bitbucket.org/keyo321/testbranchnameerror/branch/https//abc.com (404)

Attempting to delete the branch throws an error as well.

Any idea how I can remove this branch?

I'll get an internal bug filed to address this issue. In the mean time, you should be able to delete the branch using git:

    git push origin :https/abc.com
