X users have group access to the account. Currently this account only allows for Y users on a private repository

When trying to create a new repository for a specific team we get the following message
"55 users have group access to the rmitesting account and will be given access to this repository by default. Currently this account only allows for 50 users on a private repository"

But when we take a look at the team settings, we see that we are 43 users
