Test case for epic is too slow

@endrebak, the epic test case won't complete in our CI. Could you modify it such that it takes only a few seconds or at most one or two minutes?

I just started having the same problem on my CI even thought the tests run locally in just a few seconds...

Thanks, this needs some detective work. I dunno how long this will take, but will get back to you once I figure it out.

Ok. For now, the test is commented out in test.py.
