I had the time to look closer into this. I can definitely confirm that the code is not called. I think maybe it was called before i fixed other bugs. Now the comments are consumed by other code parts. But that is not easy to check

@Wolf2323 for you information: I am refactoring SnakeYAML Engine making it more 1.2 compatible. I see that you used for test YAML which is considered invalid under 1.2. I fixed it in Engine, you may have a look

May I ask you to either add tests or explain the presence of this code ?
