Extensions for Panel Platform

About

The Panel Extensions solution includes class libraries that extend the functionality of the Panel platform. SoftwareIDM publishes the code in the Panel Extensions solution to serve as live example code for custom extensions. The Panel Extension solution is configured to use Visual Studio 2013. The libraries in Panel Extensions produce the dlls the lib\Extensions folder, and implement logic for:

  • Rule Functions
  • Rule Special Values
  • Workflow Steps
  • Schedule Steps
  • Health Check Probes
  • Azure AD Scan Commands

Setup

  • Install Identity Panel or Sync Panel
  • Clone the PanelExtensions repository (or synchronize to get latest changes)
  • Extract a copy of System.Management.Automation, and place it in the PanelExtensions folder. This will allow projects that use PowerShell to reference it for build.
  • Edit each project to make sure the references point at your chosen install directory for the Panel platform
  • Edit each project to make sure the output is set to %PanelInstallDir%\lib\Extensions. If you choose a different install dir, you will need to copy the dlls.

Note: In order to build the solution you may have to stop and restart IIS.
