Weird display on ng-show?

Visual elements that should be toggled - e,g, Saving....Save message, dashboard selected, unselected alternatives etc

have a period of overlap when both are visible.

My suspicion is that (mea culpa) I have broken something by inadvertently applying ng-animate hooks on ng-show globally - this would account for a transition period.
