OpenManager does not update state unless windows form is already loaded

Title pretty much says it all.

I've been playing around with a proof-of-concept winform app and the latest nuget update (0.11) introduced the bug. If I try to execute OpenManager before the main form is completely loaded, say from Form_Load, the twain session state never updates. If I add a button to the form so I can execute OpenManager after the form loads then the state changes.
