Touch-pad "pinch-to-zoom" controls the browser zoom instead of the wall zoom

When using my laptop touch-pad, I cannot control the wall zoom. Instead, the internet browser zoom changes (see attached pic). Using Windows 10 Home, Google Chrome last update, HP notebook.
