This is the official documentation page for the Layered Navigation mod for OpenCart. This page is for the Layered Navigation module 1.5.4+. If you need the version for 1.5.1-1.5.3.1 it can be found HERE

Limitations

Due to changes in OpenCart 1.5.4 this version of the module does not have the filter by tags portion.

Requirements

vqmod required for changes to use with seo urls enabled.

Install Instructions

1. Upload all the files from the upload folder to your opencart folder.
2. Login to admin and goto users->user groups and edit the group your user is in (usually top admin)
3. Make sure module/layerednav has a checkmark next to it in access and modify permissions.
4. Goto Extensions -> modules and click on install next to layered navigation.
5. Click edit next to layered navigation.
6. Setup your price ranges if you are going to use them.
7. If you are using seo urls you need to fill in the seo keyword field.
8. Click add module and assign the module to a layout. Choose the position sort order and what sections you want enabled.
9. Repeat step 8 for all pages you want the module to show up on.
10. if you want to be able to assign things specifically to the browse page then goto system->design->layouts and click insert, and set the route to product/browse. then you can assign modules to the page.
