Error on Order Completion Email

I'm getting errors trace backed to me when trying to complete an order purchase (i think its trying to send the order email)

The error I see is SMTP Error: Data not accepted

trying to connect to a office365 smtp

any ideas? if i privately provide a login and account details does that help?

files hosted on a different server then mail (rackspace)
