Any way to put all the WisH models into one main file?

Hi folks,

I'm downloading the database currently on an Ubuntu server but am stuck waiting for all of the WisH models to unzip. Given that there are likely thousands of very small files, is there any way these can be combined into one large file (like how hmm models can be combined into one hmm file)? No worries if not but this would make downloading the database much faster.

Hi,

Yes, this is unfortunately one of the limitations of WisH currently. We have been talking with the WisH developers, and unfortunately there is apparently no way to group all these individual files (~ 60k files) in a single database file, at least not without heavy modification of the WisH code.
